Q: How Many People per team?
A: If you plan to bring a squad you can either have 4 or 5. If you have 4 one of the survivors will double as your team’s killer. With a team of 5 you will have 4 survivors who will just play survivor and 1 killer who will just play killer.
Q: Can I sign up as a solo player without a team?
A: Absolutely you can! The whole idea behind what we are trying to create here is the ability to meet new friends and build our communities together. If you register solo we will find you a squad to join!
Q: How long will the tournament take?
A: Our tournaments are generally held on a Saturday and Sunday running from late morning til early evening both days. When I put together the match schedules I aim to keep each individual teams’ survivor schedule across a space of 3ish hours each day so people don’t need to commit to a full 8 hrs of hanging around. I try my best to do the same with killer games for each team. (for example: your teams survivor games may be scheduled in the first half of the day and your killer games scheduled for the latter half).
Q: What happens if one of our team can’t make one of the scheduled matches?
A: I endeavour to work with each team to work their schedule around their teams availability on the day(s), however if I am unable to make this work 100% of the time a team can run their killer as a survivor and vice versa for the match in question. On the flip side if your team doesn’t have a 5th player available to fill this place I will have a number of substitute players available to fill in if needed on the day.
Q: Is there a cost to play in the tournament?
A: The cost to play is set at $100 per team (team of 4 $25 each, team of 5 $20 each) MrMoustachio or someone in his moderator team will arrange payment with you once you are confirmed entry in the tournament. As for where that money goes, 50% of the buy-in into a prize pool for the top 2 teams who make the Final, 30% Goes directly to the Charity we are raising money for and 20% goes to helping MrMoustachio Improve the quality of these tournaments and putting in all the hard work behind the scenes.
Q: Can I stream my games to my own channel if I am in the tournament?
A: Absolutely you can! All we ask is that you set your stream to a 2-3 minute delay to avoid any stream sniping (we don’t expect it and it is against the rules, but it is just a safeguard we put in place).
Q: Do I have to be a streamer to compete?
A: Not at all!! All players of all skill levels are welcome to sign up and test their skills and learn a new side of DBD.
